The Lucky Seven!

The wonderful Aimee Duffy has just tagged me in her post The Lucky Seven, thanks for nominating me Aimee :-)

The challenge. Post seven lines from an unpublished work of fiction. My current WIP (nearly finished) was called Riding High last week, but over the weekend I had inspiration and it's now got the title 'Choices'. It has been one of those tricky ones to write... but it's getting there finally (and no I've not edited it yet!!).
So, the rules:
§  Go to page 7 or 77 in your current manuscript (fiction or non-fiction)
§  Go to line 7
§  Post on your blog the next 7 lines, or sentences, as they are – no cheating
§  Tag 7 other authors to do the same

She’d sit with him, just for a bit, just for a drink before she threw him out and closed the place up for the night.
“You do get people in here then?” He shifted in closer, his gaze intent on hers.
“Yeah, real people.”
“It has its attractions, even without all the people.” She tried to ignore his finger as it traced a slow line of heat from her elbow right down to her wrist, tried to ignore the almost indiscernible pressure from his fingertips that was sending a flutter of want straight between her thighs. “Bright lights aren’t everything you know.”

And the seven lucky nominees are -
Raven McAllan
Doris O'Connor
Lucy Felthouse
Toni Sands
Annie Seaton
Melissa Munns
Tea Cooper

  1. Here you go.. the first sneak peek at Italian Affair...please remember it is raw and unedited!

“I think Dad would be more horrified to see your hair, than to worry about me taking off to the wilds of some Italian island. It’s okay, I had a letter from the lawyer. I have to go and see him as soon as I arrive on Lipari and he'll give me all the details.” She laughed. “It was addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Brian Ballantine, I’ll have to sort that out.”
“Final call for Qantas flight QF46 to Naples. Would passengers please make their way to boarding gate five.” The robotic voice of the announcer made the last call for Brianna’s flight. Grabbing her rucksack, she hugged Phil and blew him a final kiss before making her way to the gate.

Then she could pretend to be someone else, safe in the knowledge that club rules meant employees were off limits to the punters, unless they actively chose to participate in scenes.
Something Cherie never did. Not that Ink would let her had she wanted to. She was simply reduced to watching him from afar, battling her demons, and lately battling the hot stabs of raging jealousy. And she had no idea what she was going to do about it.
"If I didn't fear for my balls, I'd be sorely tempted to take you to the nearest dungeon and stop those thoughts swirling in your head."
